Osteopathy
is a system of manual therapy that relieves
pain, restores mobility
and significantly improves the
quality of life for many patients
without the use of drugs
or surgery. It involves diagnosing and
treating structural
and mechanical distortions in the body.
Osteopaths look at the relationship between the
structure of
your body and how well it functions. We
believe that
if the bones, joints and muscles are not correctly aligned it
will affect your mobility and the
tissues of the body will not
function properly.
Fees
£57 for your initial consultation, £50
thereafter.
Please allow 1hr for your first visit and ½ hr
for
subsequent treatments.
Heath Insurance
Most insurance companies
will fund osteopathic treatment including Aviva, AXA-PPP Healthcare
and Simply Health.
Osteopathy emphasizes the role of the musculoskeletal system
in pain, health and disease. In the UK osteopathy is a form of
complementary medicine, emphasizing a holistic approach and the
skilled use of a range of manual (ie hands on) and rehabilitation
approaches in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of musculo-skeletal
disorders.
Osteopaths not only treat the symptoms but are also interested
in the cause of the symptoms. Once the cause has been indentified
the osteopath will give the patient advice in order to help prevent
symptoms in the future.
Although we treat a lot of patients with back problems, we also
treat nearly all other parts of the body as well.
If you are not sure if osteopathy can help, please call and we
can advise you,
